How to Sell a Camper

For all those considering selling their camper, this is the “secret weapon” you need for selling successfully!

“Sell Your Camper Fast for the Best Price” contains the most valuable information available for anyone considering selling their camper trailer, caravan, motor home or camper van. It’s not just about how to promote your camper, there is a complete run down on the most effective places to advertise and a step-by-step strategy that results in consistently high success rates, with Sellers often achieving prices at or above their full asking price.

Make no mistake, technology has changed forever the way people buy and sell! Just knowing how to capitalise on this is like “gold” to anyone who wants to apply it. For just $18.95 you can own the most simple, easy to understand guide compacted into 23 pages. While you’re blundering around trying to sell your camper for a “good” price, dealing with “tyre kickers” and bargain hunters, you are missing out on quality offers from keen buyers. In fact, the ‘other guy’ who is using this proven selling strategy is now tapping into the biggest pool of buyers in the country, and more likely to be very happy with the sale result.

Consider this;  if you’re smart you’ll spend about $20 – $40 on cleaning products or maybe $120 on detailing services to get your camper sparkling. You’ll consider running ads in the local paper that will cost around $45-$90 over a week. Depending on your state, you will spend about $200 on gas system and roadworthy inspections prior to selling, and to demonstrate the appliances to a potential buyer, you’ll pay $25 to fill the 9kg gas bottle!

Without listing all the other costs ancillary to preparing your camper for sale, wouldn’t it make sense to spend just $18.95 and be perfectly clear about how you need to sell to get the best result?  Most times you only get one shot at catching a “hot” buyer when selling “high price point” items like campers.  Here’s your chance to do it better than most and increase your potential for a quick sale at the highest price available.

Im thinking of selling my motorhome and aside from advertising in the Sydeny Morning Herald and locally, do you advise eBay as a potential source of buyers for this type of van

When selling our Motor home we had enquiries from Tasmainia, Western Australia and South Australia, in fact every state except NT. People who bought it flew to VIC from NSW and took a slow drive back as a holiday….Get the Sellers Guide for ebay since it explains how it all works and empowers the seller with control over the process.

Our camper sold so well we got roped into helping the inlaws sell their caravan. They were happy with the price so I guess it worked. There’s no doubt the timing is critical and without the selling strategy we wouldn’t have been as successful, so much appreciation for your information. Kate & Jon Beenleigh

    thanks

Jeremy thanks for your question. You might refer to point 6 on page 7 of the Sellers Guide, but I’d need to know your starting price and if you have received any bids yet. Assuming you haven’t got any bids, do you feel your starting price is attractive enough? The fact that people are calling you probably gives a “yes” to this question. The other element you may consider is value. When an item is of high value, many buyers are reluctant to take a risk and place a bid. You need to ensure your advertisement mentions that they can inspect anytime by arrangement prior to final bidding. I find that items over about $20K will rarely sell “sight unseen”. In other words, if your motorhome is expected to sell for say $30,000 or $50,000 upwards, you need to be more personalised and accommodating in your dealings with potential buyers. To save time try to qualify the buyers before spending time with their inspections. (refer points 4&5 page 9) Always have them come to you rather than you visit them with your vehicle and whilst you are running a bidding campaign on eBay, simply answer any questions about “what’s your bottom line” etc with something genuine like “If you’re serious, why dont you come by and inspect the item. We can discuss price once you’ve had a look”. Otherwise DONT giveaway the reserve price, you will kill your campaign. Stick to the programme. If the buyer is genuine, they will inspect, you can decide on the spot if you want to negotiate with them, but here’s a tip – make sure they have the money! During initial discussions onsite, try asking “how would you be paying for the item?” You should seek an answer that is cash or bank cheque and most importantly, their reaction to this question will give some indication of their seriousness. If they “sniff a deal” (ie, you make it attractive for them) you should notice an increase in their motivation. Good luck with the sale. Steve.
